Classes for Spring and Summer of 2014
The following classes are being held at the Adult Activity Centers through Raleigh Parks & Recreation Dept:
Qi Gong for Back Pain – 3 sessions available. (4 classes per session)
A series of four classes – one hour each
Please register by the 25th of the previous month. If we don’t have enough people by then, the class may be cancelled, so encourage friends and family to join you. ($8.00 for all 4 classes)
This class will teach you a series of gentle Qigong Movements that will allow you to stop your back pain. Movements will be taught sitting, standing and lying down. A variety of tips for managing back and neck pain are introduced throughout the workshops. Participants will receive a DVD to guide continued practice after the workshop.

What is Acupuncture? Will it Help Me? 90 minute class
Acupuncture has been the primary form of health care in China for more than 5,000 years. In this session Nancy Davison, licensed acupuncturist and physical therapist, will talk about the differences between Western (American, allopathic) medicine and Eastern medicine. She reviews the different styles of acupuncture and what a typical treatment experience might be like. She describes the credentials of various professionals that are qualified to perform acupuncture. She will answer any questions to increase the potential value of acupuncture for attendees.
